Always Excitement in Vegas

At any tradeshow the size of ISC West, you have to wonder what is new. I think about this every time we make plans to attend and set up booth appointments.

In two-and-a-half days, there is plenty to see, touch and learn about technology and product integration in the security world. Curious by nature, I enjoy getting a look at some of the new technology prior to ISC West.

I found this interesting.

AMAG Technology, part of the G4S Technology based in the United Kingdom, has been known as a solution provider. This year, at ISC West, they are rolling out a new range of cameras for both indoor and outdoor needs.

Yes, there are plenty of camera manufacturers and distributors, but I just found it interesting that AMAG's portfolio believes this part of the security market needs more cameras. Here is the catch. None of these introductions include an analog camera. All are 1080p video resolution, with advanced motion detection and an option to activate full on-board video content analytics. This means the camera can now detect meaningful alarm events from video, and these alarms interact with the Symmetry security management system.

There is energy for this year's ISC West. The show floor is nearly sold out and by next week, I'm guessing it will be filled. There are more than 1,000 exhibitors, meaning there will be more to do and see than you have time.

Nightlife in Las Vegas? OK, I admit to being a little bit boring but there is plenty to do and see in Las Vegas.

See you in Vegas.
